Why we built this
EU product compliance is moving from physical-only labels to digital, persistent, machine-readable records. Small producers often lack the structured data, ERP systems, or compliance teams to meet these requirements. Existing tools require payment before you can properly test them on a real product. Circla changes that: set up for free, pay only when you're ready to publish.
AI that stays in its lane
Circla is a compliance assistance tool. We provide the platform, the AI extraction, the verified terminology, and the permanent hosting — but the producer remains the responsible economic operator. AI outputs are drafts that require human approval. Controlled legal terminology comes from official sources and is versioned, never freely invented by AI.
Verified terminology
Statutory terms for allergens, additives, nutrition headings, fibre names, and energy units come from official EU regulation text and annexes — not freely translated by AI. Every controlled term is sourced, versioned, and auditable.
Permanence by design
When you pay to publish a product, we commit to 10-year hosting backed by a prepaid reserve and continuity plan. But you're never locked in: every paid product includes export bundles, JSON-LD structured data, and a static HTML version you can self-host on your own domain.
